The results are in – every year, it keeps getting better!
Saffron hosted our 9th annual Consent Event at Broadmoor Lake Park on May 25th, and once again, we were amazed at how many people came out to support us in our mission to raise awareness about sexual violence. Despite the chilly morning, we had over 100 participants in this year’s fun run/walk.
We would also like to acknowledge our sponsors for this year’s event; thanks to their support, we raised OVER $20,000 for our programs and services! Thank you to our title sponsor for the second year in a row, Park Derochie, and our platinum sponsors, Browns Social House, United Cycle, and Interpipeline for supporting the Consent Event. We also thank our 14 gold and silver sponsors, including Planet Fitness as our warm-up sponsor for the run.
Our plan for next year is to go bigger than ever before! Planning is already underway, and we look forward to engaging our community in sexual violence prevention and awareness. Together, we can create a community free from sexual violence where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
