Safe Exit

Highlight: Saffron in CBC News

Abuse-free sport has become a major topic of conversation in Canada. Recently, Future of Sport Canada’s Commission has been touring the country, collecting feedback and focusing on creating systemic change to prevent abuse in sports. Recommendations include shifts in policies and procedures for reporting abuse, as well as engaging programs at the grassroots level to educate athletes about their rights to safety.

Saffron Centre is honoured to have been included in a crucial part of this conversation with the CBC. Consent in Sport is recognized as a vital training that empowers athletes at all levels with an understanding of their rights and responsibilities in ending harassment and abuse in sports.
