Counselling Program

Saffron offers counselling services for adults, children, and youth who have experienced sexual assault, abuse, or exploitation. Each counselling option allows clients needs to be addressed at different stages in the recovery process.  Our programs are provided by our team of specialized counsellors, one of whom will work with you to help reduce your symptoms and overall feelings of distress and help you feel understood, supported and less alone. All of Saffron Centre's therapists practice through a client centered trauma-informed lens and have been trained in various types of therapy to help you on your healing journey.

How to Begin Accessing Our Services:

Here at Saffron Centre, we want to do our best to meet you where you’re at in your healing journey and provide you with the services that will best fit your individual needs.

Whenever you are ready, you can call our office at 780-449-0900 to begin accessing our services. During this initial call we will get you registered by collecting some basic contact information. We will also confirm that you are seeking support for a sexual violence related incident(s). Once we’ve completed your registration, we would get you scheduled for an intake with one of our intake workers and you will be added to our waitlist.

The purpose of this intake is to help us determine what supports would be best suited to your needs and to ensure that you’re able to get the most out of your time at Saffron. The intake is typically a phone call (in-person and video also available by request), which is scheduled for 1 hour, and usually takes around 45 minutes to complete. After the intake is completed, we will contact you to get booked in once availability opens up for your assigned program(s).

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have regarding this process.
